Credit Controller - Fixed Term Contract (VA525)

Experience: 1-3 years' credit control experience
We are seeking an individual to provide credit control administrative support to the finance function of Carey Olsen on a 6-month fixed term basis. This role can be based in one of our Jersey, Guernsey or Southampton offices.
Responsibilities
* Chasing for payment of outstanding debt via telephone and email to minimise bad debts.
* Keeping accurate records up to date with clear and concise notes.
* Liaising with other departments and stakeholders across the business to ensure swift resolution of queries.
* Responsibility for circa 2000 accounts (as part of a team).
* Adapting to the requirements of the company and performing ad hoc projects that may arise.
Qualifications
* One to three years' credit control experience.
* Experience of dealing with a high volume of customers on a monthly basis.
* Experience in a similar role within a Finance / Legal office environment.
* Ability to preserve a high degree of confidentiality.
* Well organised, attention to detail, and a meticulous approach to work.
* Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative.
* Positive, pro-active, and confident person.
