This is an ideal role for someone with previous experience in clinical/healthcare administration, or experience as a PA.

This vacancy is for 27.5 hours per week, working 12pm-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Main Duties of the Job
Your key responsibilities will include reading patient-related correspondence, identifying relevant clinical information, and updating patient notes.
You will also be providing general secretarial support to our practice and business managers, GPs, and health professionals.
You will be handling sensitive medical information, so a caring customer service communication style is essential.
Likewise, you will be expected to treat all patients (& colleagues) with dignity and respect at all times and, last but by no means least, maintain the utmost levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

* Handling referrals on a day-to-day basis
* Management of the referral link between primary and secondary care
* Dealing with email and telephone queries from patients & colleagues
* Assisting the Back Office team with any other duties required

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Grade C or above in GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
Experience
* Experience within clinical/healthcare admin, or as a PA
* Exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, combined with top-level attention to detail
* Strong literacy and computer skills
* Experience working with variable stakeholders
* Experience working within a team
* Experience with electronic dictation
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Experience with clinical IT systems
