Heels & Brogues Recruitment are working with a well-known client to fill an exciting opportunity within their Residential Conveyancing team. The client is seeking a dedicated Conveyancer who will provide exceptional legal services with a client-centric and friendly approach.
The Role
As a Residential Conveyancer, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of conveyancing files under supervision. You will report directly to the Director(s) and contribute to the seamless operation of the Residential Conveyancing team. Key tasks include ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, undertaking due diligence such as AML checks, and maintaining high standards of client care. You will also draft legal documents, perform searches with Local Authorities and the Land Registry, and ensure regular updates are made on the firm’s case management system.
Your role will involve effective communication with peers, clients, referrers, estate agents, and other third parties. You will prepare and check reports on title, agree on exchange and completion dates, and ensure that completion statements are accurate. Additionally, you will assist in arranging the transfer of monies on completion and ensure post-completion checks are carried out before submitting paperwork to the Post Completion team.
Experience
* Handling Sale and Purchase Files
* Experience with Leasehold Properties (desirable)
* Familiarity with case management systems and the Land Registry Portal
* Experience with a legal accounts package
* Experience in remortgages and transfer of equity matters (desirable)
* Experience with paperless or paper-light caseloads (desirable)
Knowledge
* In-depth understanding of residential property law
* Familiarity with SRA protocol and procedures
* Knowledge of AML procedures
