If you're interested to find out more about the working life of a Recycling Operative, here's the lowdown: What you'll be doing as Recycling Operative Our Recycling Transfer Station (RTS) is a busy plant where materials are shredded and baled ready to go to an Energy from Waste facility. The Recycling Operative job is a varied one: you might go from maintenance on mobile plant to sweeping to operating an excavator. We have a team of 19 operatives in total but you'd be working with around three to four people each week. What you'll need If you have a basic understanding of the waste industry, ideally with experience in a recycling processing plant/baler operations, then that's a plus.
