Role: FLT Driver (considered licences detailed below)
Location: Leyland
Pay frequency: Weekly pay on Friday for previous weeks worked hours
Shift available: 1 x 2pm - 10pm (set shift)
Working days: Monday to Friday - £12.50 to £13.00 per hour (DOE)
We are currently recruiting experienced FLT Drivers to join a reputable client in Leyland who currently hold active licences for one of the following categories:
- Counterbalance and Bendi / Flexi / Pivot (preferred)
- Counterbalance and Reach (preferred)
- Counterbalance Licence only (essential)
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse and production environment, ensuring smooth materials handling to support ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate relevant Forklift Truck in a busy warehouse setting.
- Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles.
- Move stock to designated storage areas and organise inventory within the warehouse.
- Ensure that stock is both managed and moved carefully, to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including materials received and dispatched.
- Perform regular safety checks and report any faults or issues with equipment.
- Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing when required.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
Inhouse or external qualifications are considered, providing certifications are approved by either RTITB, ITSAAR or BRITTOp and dated within the past 3 years (proof of certification / refresher required).
Key requirements:
- Previous experience working as a FLT driver within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude to work.
Role type:
- Temporary, on an ongoing basis, based on business demand and requirements.
