Job Description: Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the key management leader for Menphys Ltd. The CEO is responsible for overseeing the administration, programmes, and strategic plan of the organisation. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.
The position reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

General Responsibilities:
1. Works with the Board of Trustees in order to fulfil the mission of the organisation and its charitable objectives.
o Responsible for leading Menphys in a manner that supports and guides the organisation’s mission as defined by the Board of Trustees.
o Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board of Trustees and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for them to make informed decisions.
2. Develops resources that are sufficient to ensure the financial stability of the organisation.
o Responsible for the fiscal integrity of Menphys, to include submission to the Board of Trustees of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organisation.
o Responsible for the overall fiscal management, that anticipates operating within the approved budget, and ensures maximum resource utilisation.
o Responsible for overseeing fundraising activities including the submission of grant bids.
3. Works with the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programmes, strategic planning, and community outreach.
o Responsible for implementation of Menphys’ programmes.
o Responsible for strategic planning in conjunction with the Board of Trustees.
o Responsible for the enhancement of Menphys’ image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other public, private, and voluntary sector stakeholders.
4. Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organisation are appropriate.
o Responsible for the effective administration of Menphys operations.
o Responsible for appointing staff and for personnel management of Menphys employees and volunteers.
o Responsible for signing all contracts, agreements, and other instruments made and entered into on behalf of the organisation.
o Responsible for ensuring that Menphys meets its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.
Professional Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in a senior management position, with strong leadership and demonstrable ability to provide strategic direction.
* Budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting.
* Strong organisational skills including planning, prioritising, delegating, programme development, and task facilitation.
* Ability to answer to a Board of Trustees.
* Experience of people management and overseeing their performance.
* Ability to network with the business community and serve as the public face of an organisation.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Strong public speaking ability.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivery of the annual budget and business plan.
* Strategic planning and implementation.
* Establishing appropriate employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the charity.
* Serving as Menphys’ primary spokesperson and ambassador to the organisation’s constituents, the media, and to members of the public.
* Establish and maintain relationships with various organisations in Leicestershire and Rutland, including the business community, and to utilise those relationships to strategically enhance the Menphys’ mission.
* Report to and work closely with the Board of Trustees.
* Line management responsibility for the Senior Leadership, plus broader guidance and motivation of the wider team, to include all staff and volunteers.
* Participate in grant writing, fundraising and marketing.
* Review and approve contracts for services.
* Any other duties as assigned by the Board of Trustees.
