Rochdale Sixth Form College, consistently ranked among the top-performing colleges in the country, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Chemistry to join our thriving Science department from September 2025.
About the Role:
As a Teacher of Chemistry at RSFC, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality A Level Chemistry education to a diverse and ambitious student body. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons that stretch and support students to achieve their full potential. You’ll contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and mutual respect.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Teaching A Level Chemistry in a way that promotes enthusiasm, curiosity, and critical thinking
* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students are supported to succeed
* Using data to monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement
* Participating in departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development
* Supporting students with UCAS applications and preparation for university courses, including medicine, veterinary science, and other science-related fields
* Engaging in the college’s extensive enrichment programme and wider college life
* Contributing to the sharing of best practice and continuous improvement within the Science faculty
