Ogilvie Homes - Land & Planning Manager
Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting Ogilvie Homes on the recruitment of an experienced Land & Planning Manager for their busy team, based Stirling.
The role covers short, medium and strategic land and will potentially involve you in private development and partnership homes - it's a fantastic opportunity with lots of variety and a dynamic pace, within a business who are actively pursuing and acquiring land.
Reporting to the Land Director, you will be responsible for:
1. Responsible for the identification of development opportunities for Board consideration
2. Responsible for the preparation, management and negotiation of new land bids
3. Responsible for securing of land within budget in line with the Company's acquisition programme
4. Responsible for securing of all necessary legal agreements to facilitate land purchases
5. Responsible for the ongoing analysis of the existing land bank to advise on strategic decisions
6. Responsible for the conversion of strategic development sites to Allocated / PPP status
7. Lead and co-ordinate External Consultants to support relevant PPP / LDP submissions
8. Lead and co-ordinate Pre-Development Meetings and input to Project Meetings
9. Responsible for the negotiation and conclusion of any S69 / S75 agreements
10. Develop professional experience through CPD attendance
11. Develop network of industry / professional contacts to maximise development opportunities
12. Maintain working knowledge of latest Scottish Government / Local Authority Planning Policies
13. Maintaining of records and filing in line with required working procedures
About You:
Are you:
14. HND/Degree qualified in a land/planning discipline?
15. A lateral thinker with determination and confidence to problem solve?
16. A good negotiator with excellent communication skills?
Do you:
17. Have a membership of a relevant professional institution? *Preferred
18. Have detailed knowledge of the Planning System / Legislation (Scotland)? - Preferred
19. Have sound knowledge of the construction process and technical constraints?
Competitive salary and benefits package (level dependent on experience)
20. Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm, early finish Friday (3:30pm)
