We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice near Cambridge who are looking to recruit a Paraplanner.
You would be required to have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in financial services. You will support the Chartered Financial Planners dealing with high net worth clients proving holistic financial planning including areas such as Pensions, Investments, Protection and non-mainstream investments.
Main Duties:
Understanding / Analysis / Recommendation
1. Collect and collate information and data about (and from) the client in accordance with the principles of 'know your client’ and the firm’s policies
2. Ensure that all compliance documentation is present and correct
3. Collaborate with Chartered Financial Planner in connection with developing a comprehensive financial plan and strategy to meet the client needs and objectives
4. Undertake comparative research including completing calculations ( income tax, IHT, Capital Gains Tax, Lifetime Allowance, Pension Annual Allowance, Carry Forward,
5. Chargeable Gains, Cashflow modelling)
6. Prepare suitability report and recommendations
7. Draft documentation as necessary application forms
8. Case management and oversight of new business from issue of suitability report to conclusion (new business process completed and monies (where relevant correctly invested)
Ongoing Service
9. Be the regular point of contact to deal with day-to-day enquiries from clients
10. Work with Chartered Financial Planners to manage diaries and client review meeting dates
11. Ensure meeting review documentation is present and correct
12. Attend client meetings as required and take notes which will be written up and sent to clients for approval
13. Maintain cashflow
14. Communicate as necessary with client’s other professional advisers (Accountant/Solicitor)
15. Review draft client valuation documents for accuracy and presentation
16. Record client and provider communications to the relevant part of the back-office system
17. Maintain and develop templates/guides used by the Financial Planning Team
General Responsibilities
18. Responsible for making sure the back-office system (CURO) is always up to date client reviews, New Business report
19. Attend networking and professional connection event to help to support business development opportunities
20. Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm
21. Attend appropriate seminars / workshops on behalf of firm and report back
22. Support the firm’s client centric culture
23. Recognise the team ethic and be flexible in providing support to other disciplines within the firm
24. Be willing to take on and be responsible for project work.
25. Be respectful to colleagues and embrace diversity and inclusion
26. Any other tasks as required by the Directors.
27. Comply with the relevant Conduct Rules, as per the Senior Managers & Certification Regime

It would be desirable for you to have knowledge of Voyant Cashflow modelling, CURO back-office system and AJ Bell Custody solutions (Figaro).
You would be required to have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in financial services and:

You will have achieved CII Level 4 or equivalent and:
40. Develop professional qualifications in line with requirements of the role specifically and the firm's needs more generally
41. Willingness to achieve and maintain a level of competence as required by the business
42. Complete all training prescribed by the firm within the timescales given
43. Ensure relevant CPD is maintained and recorded accurately
44. Adhere to compliance requirements and procedures as guided by Risk Management and the Financial Conduct Authority regulator (FCA)
