Mental Health Support Worker - Thetford/Diss
Salary: Bracket from £24,500
Hours: 37.5 hours per week including one day every other weekend
Overtime: Available
Type: Permanent
ARC Group are working with a well-established support service recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker in the Thetford and surrounding area.
Main Purposes of Job
1. To follow instructions and care plans at individual settings
2. Treat Service Users with respect at all times
3. Maintain a safe environment for staff and Service Users
4. Support people with mental health problems to undertake day-to-day activities as per support plan
5. Promote independence and social inclusion for people with mental health through the support given to undertake day-to-day activities as per support plan
6. Innovatively and creatively work with service users in ways that promote recovery
7. Encourage the independence and motivation of the Service User
8. Support the Service Users to make informed choices
9. Feedback any necessary information to the person in charge
10. Complete all necessary paperwork
11. Take Service Users into the community and on day trips when needed
12. Provide companionship to service users, communicating effectively with them
13. Protect the confidentiality of all Service Users and Clients
14. Recognise signs of abuse and immediately report through the necessary channels
Requirements for the Role
1. UK experience as a support worker or mental health support worker is essential
2. Must be reliable
3. Must be resilient and compassionate
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Must have access to a vehicle and full UK driving licence
6. Online DBS is essential
