Pulse Mental Health, a leading recruitment agency specializing in healthcare placements, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join our esteemed client base in the vibrant city of Lowestoft. Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk Position: Band 6 Occupational Therapist Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Duration: 07 October 2024 until 07 January 2025 Pay: Competitive, to be discussed upon application Key Responsibilities as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist: Conduct assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions to individuals with mental health conditions, promoting independence and improving quality of life. Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. Provide support and guidance to clients in developing essential life skills and engaging in meaningful activities to enhance their overall well-being. Utilize evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques to address cognitive, physical, and emotional challenges, facilitating clients' participation in daily activities and social interactions. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and clinical supervision sessions to ensure effective coordination of care and continuity of services. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. Previous experience working in mental health settings, either through placements or employment, is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with clients and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
