Purpose & Scope of Role:
* Support the Services/Bottling & Packaging Engineering Team to ensure efficient and safe operations at Central Scotland production facilities.
* Maintain equipment through detailed Planned Preventative Maintenance and respond swiftly to unplanned breakdowns.
* Contribute to technical project work and proactively improve plant efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, including EHS, Visual Management, Autonomous Maintenance, 5S, and Focused Improvement.
* Plan and execute detailed Planned Preventative Maintenance, recording findings and addressing potential failures.
* Operate Permit to Work system, ensuring contractor compliance with risk assessments and method statements.
* Report and address hazards, ensuring safety and mitigation measures are in place.
* Perform maintenance under Lockout Tagout procedures, updating records accordingly.
* Train operators for autonomous maintenance programs.
* Analyze performance issues and implement sustainable solutions through meetings and reviews.
* Utilize SAP for spare parts management and oversee project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
* Assist in shutdowns and project plans across sites.
* Maintain asset records and complete PPM tasks in the maintenance system.
* Lead safety inspections and report findings in safety meetings.
* Engage in ongoing training and skills development.
* Drive process improvements with electrical and mechanical input.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, maintaining relevant documentation.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Recognized electrical apprenticeship.
* Knowledge of bottling and packaging equipment, electrical and mechanical.
* Experience with industrial controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
* Proficiency with testing, troubleshooting, and SCADA systems.
* MEWP and CompEx hazardous area qualifications.
* Understanding of environmental, health, safety regulations, and electrical standards.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.
* Experience with HAZOPs and project bid processes.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
