The role
Permanent - full time - 35 hours
Part time hours will be considered for this role (14 hrs and 21 hours)
Scope's Littlehampton shop - 64 High Street, Littlehampton, BN17 5EA
As Assistant Shop Manager of Scope's Littlehampton shop, you will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding.
You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. We are looking for a great can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will:
1. Have proven experience in a retail or customer service environment.
2. Be passionate about retail.
3. Be a dedicated team player and have the ability to motivate and lead the shop team and volunteers.
4. Have a strong customer focus.
5. Have solid IT skills.
6. Have good attention to detail and a creative eye for shop displays.

Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative, and passionate bunch of superstars. Our shops are located across England and Wales and each shop has its own character and personality. We focus on sustainable fashion and engaging with local communities. We lead our volunteers to deliver a great colleague and customer experience and we raise much-needed funds to deliver an Equal Future for disabled people and their families.
Shop hours
It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day. So some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. Our full-time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.
