Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry
* Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
* Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants
* Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained
* Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
* Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy
* Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
* Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* 2 years experience in a similar role
* Excellent communication skills
* Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
* A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
