About St Andrew's School

St. Andrew’s was founded in 1934 and became a charitable trust administered by a board of governors in 1961. Since 1968 the school has been fully co-educational. The estate extends to 54 acres in magnificent Berkshire countryside between the villages of Pangbourne and Bradfield.
In recent years, the number of pupils has been steady at approximately 290, which is the currently intended maximum. Whilst it is predominantly a day school, ‘flexi-boarding’ operates and many children use this during their time at the school. The aim of the school is to provide the best possible broad-based education for children aged 3 to 13. Pupils leave with an impressive number of scholarships. This year, seventeen of our twenty-three sixth form (Year 8) leavers have won awards, including academic, music, art and sports.
