About the Role
Reporting to the Head Engineer we are looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Planner & Storeman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving workforce productivity and maintaining quality standards by coordinating maintenance activities, managing resources, and overseeing stores. Your primary focus will be on the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance work, parts, materials, and equipment access to prevent potential delays.

Key Responsibilities :
* Organize, plan, and track the daily flow of work into and out of the maintenance department.
* Raise purchase orders for goods and services within defined authority.
* Ensure timely receipting and delivery of goods.
* Obtain quotations for the supply and delivery of goods and services from suppliers.
* Oversee stock control and maintain inventory.
* Liaise with suppliers, management, factory supervisors, store personnel, and other departments.
* Perform system maintenance and assist with the internal MFC purchasing system as “process owner.”
* Lead the setup and operation of the MEX system.
* Process work requests and collaborate with engineering staff to set priorities and develop weekly work programs.
* Assist with shutdown maintenance planning and execution.
* Support Capex preparation, coordination, and implementation.
Skills and Experience :
* Engineering Cert 3 (metal fabrication or machining preferred)
* Proven experience in a similar planning or storeman role.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Experience with inventory management and stock control.
* Knowledge of MEX system setup and operations is desirable.
* Previous experience with purchasing and supplier management.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Basic understanding of maintenance processes and activities.
