Job Description
Job Description
The Information Analyst role provides an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in data analysis, and data driven performance improvement, in a public sector setting. Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for extracting, analysing and presenting data in relation to the work of the Aberdeenshire Council Housing department for colleagues within Housing and across the Council, as well as for external agencies and the public.
\n
Previous experience in social research and/or knowledge of the Scottish social housing sector would be an advantage but is not essential. The Housing Information Team currently uses SAP Business Objects as its main data extraction and transformation tool: training will be provided as necessary but previous experience with this program and/or knowledge of SQL would therefore be beneficial in this role. We are also increasingly making use of PowerBI for analysis and reporting, so we are also keen to hear from applicants with experience of data transformation, analysis and presentation in this package.
\n
The work location for this role is flexible. The majority of the team work from home, or from the Aberdeenshire Council office most convenient to them, and collaborate via Microsoft Teams. However, there will be a requirement to attend monthly in-person meetings, normally held in Aberdeen or Inverurie.
\n
This post is part-time, 25 hours a week. The working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day. Subject to agreement we are happy to accommodate these hours being worked predominantly in the morning, afternoon, or across the middle of the day, depending on the successful candidate’s preference
\n
Fixed term for a period not exceeding 30/04/2027
