We have an exciting new opportunity for a Home Ownership Advisor who will join the customer experience and commercial team to provide customer focused home ownership services to shared owners, leaseholders and open market customers. The role of a Home Ownership Advisor will form part of the customer focused service in relation to the shared ownership, leasehold and open market customer interaction by ensuring they comply with the terms of their lease or occupancy agreements and it will carry out consultation with leaseholders in relation to major works and long-term qualifying agreements whilst responding to information requests, advice or services from home ownership customers. Further key areas of responsibility include: Deal with all legal enquiries and sales questionnaires relating to the resale, assignment or amendments to existing leases Provide advice to colleagues and information to existing or potential customers about the provision of leases, transfers and occupancy agreements Complete pre and post-sale administration for all home ownership sales and assignments including updating Ocean’s housing management system Process requests from shared owners wishing to re-mortgage their homes, and/or complete a transfer of equity Facilitate the efficient buyback of shared ownership homes from valuation to completion of repurchase Provide advice and process applications from leaseholders and shared owners wishing to extend the term of their leases For further information regarding the responsibilities for this post please see the Job Description. You will have experience of working in property or leasehold industries and working within a legislative framework. It is essential the postholder has an understanding of property law and practice. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with a good level of emotional intelligence. You will have the ability to negotiate complex issues, both verbally and in writing and are able to present and conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner. The role requires the postholder to be able to transport oneself to various locations and requires a Standard DBS check.
