We have an exciting opportunity for a quality control technologist to join our production team. In this role, you will be based out of our distribution centre and work closely with the technical manager to enhance quality control and ensure consistent product quality.
You will be responsible for compiling quality control reports, managing non-conformity and discrepancy reports, and recommending continuous improvement activities.
About the team
Reporting to the technical manager, you will be based in our distribution centre located in Larkfield, Kent.
What will I be doing?
* Carry out regular random AQL inspections at the warehouse and store level, and compare results with regional QA reports.
* Prepare monthly summaries of quality issues for review by the technical manager and presentation to senior management.
* Manage the compilation of seasonal factory scorecards.
* Implement quality procedures aligned with business objectives, working with the technical manager.
* Assess product failure and returns analysis in collaboration with the warehouse returns department.
* Issue and manage supplier corrective action reports when standards are not met.
* Investigate and record customer complaints regarding product performance, specifications, and reliability.
* Support the issuance and management of claim reports and RTV chargebacks to vendors when failures occur.
* Keep management informed of significant developments from quality control activities.
* Assist in annual business reviews of key suppliers from a quality perspective.

* Experience in carrying out AQL inspections at factory and head office levels.
* Excellent time management, planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
* Multi-product experience.
* Ability to travel at short notice if required.

Our Distribution Centre is based in Larkfield, Kent, with employees across Logistics, Shipping, Warehouse Operations, and Store Design. It is approximately a 4-minute drive from New Hythe rail station.
