Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Cannock. This full-time role will commence ASAP on a long-term basis, requiring availability Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:30.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 7-13 with SEMH needs, offering essential support and guidance. Your role involves fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment, ensuring all students can participate fully in activities. You will assist in creating personalised educational plans for students, both in and out of the classroom.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with special educational needs, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs are essential qualities for this role. Additionally, flexibility and adaptability to work with students displaying challenging behaviours are crucial.
