Latham & Bond HR are currently working with a specialist manufacturing organization operating in the automotive sector. This is a key opportunity to join a well-established Electronics R&D department, supporting the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge embedded systems and software tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the R&D team in the implementation and maintenance of software systems.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain in-house software and test programs.
3. Generate and maintain electrical drawings.
4. Work collaboratively to ensure robust testing procedures for embedded systems.
5. Contribute to the creation and enhancement of automated test software.
Skills and Attributes:
1. Strong experience with LabVIEW and TestStand.
2. Skilled in writing test software and developing automated tests.
3. Proficient in architectural software modelling.
4. Familiar with version control tools.
5. Experience with electrical drawing software.
6. Understanding of automotive networks (CAN(-FD), LIN, Ethernet, Flexray).
7. Knowledge of embedded systems and software.
8. Proficient in C for embedded systems development.
9. Competent in C++ for high-level software development.
10. Comfortable with C# for backend services and graphical interfaces.
11. Basic understanding of Python for simple scripting.
12. Familiarity with development processes and unit testing frameworks.
Conditions of Work:
1. Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30.
2. Friday: 08:00 – 14:00.
3. Flexibility may be required depending on the workload.
