Business Development Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Conventions Sales – Agencies team.
We’re looking for an individual who:
* Is a driven and self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record of successfully winning new business and building relationships with clients in a commercial business environment.
* Has significant and proven sales experience, delivering and managing sales targets, ideally within a similar industry or selling environment.
* Is skilled in identifying new markets and opportunities to generate new leads, drive sales and increase revenue.
* Has the ability to understand and develop business development plans that can deliver against a sales target.
* Has the drive and energy to succeed and exceed all targets – must have a ‘hunting’ attitude and tenacity for the sale.
* Has highly proficient presentation skills in communicating to audiences in terms of profile, size and seniority.
* Has excellent negotiation skills and ability to lead client sales meetings based on experience and precedent.
* Is able to understand the commercial drivers of the business as well as the creative ones.
* Can develop strong relationships and has an assertive style, good facilitation and influencing skills.
* Is able to forecast and communicate accurate revenues on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Is able to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment.
* Is resilient and tenacious; confident and charismatic; calm under pressure.
