If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Leisa McQuade 01382 432834 or email [email protected] Requirements You will have the ability to undertake relevant HNC and SVQ Level 3 and any other relevant qualification which provides evidence of academic achievement equivalent to or above SCQF Level 7. You will also have 3 National 4s, or equivalent. Responsibilities You will assist in the creation and maintenance of a high quality care environment in which children and young people are assured of safety and security. You will care for children and young people during the waking night shift hours as specified. The Individual You will have experience and understanding of working collaboratively with children and young people and their families and carers. You will have effective communication skills, written and verbal, and good interpersonal skills. You have to be a team player, understanding the emotional practical and social care needs of young people and have the ability to undertake manual handling/ and CALM procedures. You will have the ability to work permanent night shift and to work up to 31 weekends. You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within six months of being appointed. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
