Birchwood Medical Practice is looking for a GP to join our team due to a partner relocating. Whether you would like a salaried post or are looking for a partnership, we may be the practice for you. We are ideally looking for someone to work 6 GP sessions per week, but finding the right person is the most important thing for our team, so we are open to discussion.
We are a practice that is keen to maintain continuity of care and practice holistic family, evidence-based care while maintaining a good work-life balance. We are a very established teaching practice within our GP and nursing teams, supporting GP Registrars, medical students, nursing, and PA students.
Main duties of the job
We are fortunate to have wonderful ARRS staff, which include mental health nurses, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician associates, and nursing associates, to name a few.
We try to stay as current as we can, and one of our GPs spends some time working for the ICB, while another is the Clinical Director of our local PCN.
We have recently supported our salaried GP through her fellowship.
About us
Dr Pinch & Partners, operating as Birchwood Medical Practice, is a 7-doctor dispensing practice providing care to approximately 12,000 patients in and around North Walsham. With the new NDR, we are only a 25-30 minute drive from Norwich city centre. The partners and staff have a shared belief in the delivery of high-quality, traditional personal family healthcare. Patients' interests are kept very much to the fore, and there is a strong commitment to developing patient services. To promote a multi-disciplinary team approach, we share our premises with other providers, including local community services. We look to be supportive and inclusive to all our staff. We consider practice welfare to be paramount and have monthly practice meetings for all staff, regular social events, an annual Christmas party, and look to do a yearly event to raise money for a local charity. We have set up Healthier North Walsham and endeavor to immerse ourselves into the community as much as possible. We offer on-site parking.
