Job Title: Social Worker – Duty and Assessment
Location: Walsall
Rate: £28.26 per hour
An exciting job role has recently become available at the Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Duty and Assessment Team.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will undertake assessments and provide immediate support and intervention for children and families in need. You will respond to new referrals, ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of children at risk. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing support plans, working closely with multi-agency partners, maintaining accurate case records, and presenting cases in Child Protection Conferences and court proceedings.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK license, have post-qualified experience, and hold a degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
