Their high-performance paints are renowned for their stunning depth of colour, with undertones that subtly shift in different lights, adding unique character and sophistication to any space.
Now, they're searching for a talented Paint Chemist to join their team in the NorthWest. This is a chance to work with a company that’s as dedicated to innovation and environmental responsibility as they are to creating beautiful, high-quality products. Reporting to the Technical Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their product range through research, development, and problem-solving. Colour matching experience and knowledge of Colour Physics would be very useful.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive innovation by developing and testing new formulations, taking them from laboratory trials through to full-scale production.
* Bring your expertise to improving existing products and processes, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
* Work hands-on with cutting-edge R&D, exploring the latest materials and technologies in surface coatings.
* Collaborate across teams, helping to resolve technical challenges in production, laboratory, and field environments.
* Influence the market by analysing competitors’ products and continuously improving the company’s offerings.
Candidate Profile:
* A strong background in surface coatings, ideally in decorative paints.
* A degree or higher qualification in science (HNC or relevant experience also considered).
* Experience in problem-solving within the coatings industry, with a passion for driving innovation.
* Colour matching and quality control of colour would be an advantage.
* Must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available.
