Our client is an energy and commodities company; its primary business is the trading and distribution of energy products globally.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performing assigned tasks as part of on-boarding, regular and event-driven review of counterparts.
2. Conduct Sanctions, PEP and Adverse Media screening in accordance with Vitol procedures and escalate accordingly.
3. Collect and verify information and documentation obtained.
4. Where valid reasons exist to deviate from KYC standard documentation ensure the rationale is appropriately documented and approved, clearly stating identified risks and mitigating factors.
5. Manage case load and take ownership by tracking with business owners to ensure cases complete in a timely manner.
6. Liaise with business owners and management to clarify, investigate, escalate and resolve issues as they arise.
7. Document outcomes of due diligence performed.
8. Undertaking additional activities as directed by the KYC Manager.
9. Working together with the global Compliance team.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Successful candidates will have at least 2 years experience in due diligence, preferably in a similar industry.
2. Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
3. Highly responsive, proactive, energetic and enthusiastic.
4. Self-starter, with excellent organisational skills and ability to establish and deliver on priorities.
5. Can work independently.
6. Effective collaboration both within a team and across the organisation.
