What You’ll Be Doing: As the Management Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of the finance function, connecting with teams across the organisation to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. You’ll deliver key financial insights and provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, playing a critical role in both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be responsible for: Financial Reporting & Analysis: Preparing timely management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. You'll also analyse variances, offering insightful commentary to the Finance Manager. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the creation of budgets and forecasts, and monitoring performance against these targets to highlight risks and opportunities. Operational Oversight: Overseeing the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with policies. Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies in financial workflows and implementing changes to boost accuracy and productivity. Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a key liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers, ensuring smooth communication on financial matters. What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking someone who has a strong track record in management accounting and is ready to take on new challenges. The ideal candidate will bring: Working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage) and Excel. A history of mentoring or managing junior finance staff, but someone who is also happy getting their hands dirty. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
