Job Purpose: Being responsible for governance, key design and development projects, and the day-to-day monitoring and management of the Travel Insurance Product suite.
Travel has undergone a remarkable journey since launch and had tremendous growth post Covid.
Our mission is to grow into a key market player by revenue in the next 5 years. We want to be renowned for meeting or surpassing expectations in service, offering a well-designed and priced product which complements Admiral’s existing product suite.
You would work closely with the Head of Product, Senior Product Manager, and other members of the Travel Product team on the design and governance of the Travel product suite to drive growth and deliver a good product which meets customer needs and adheres to Consumer Duty regulation. The role will be dynamic, offering a variety of projects and activities to deliver on the product roadmap.
The Travel department also provides a unique opportunity to work closely with other areas of Travel. Being more of a ‘self-contained’ area provides a unique opportunity to get up close on a regular basis with all areas of the product (such as Pricing, I.T., and Claims), allowing us to test and bring some ideas to life fairly quickly as we can prioritize internally.
Main Duties
* Become a Product expert understanding how product features benefit our customers.
* Keep up to date with market threats, and industry and competitor trends. Identify opportunities and scope out areas of investigation to add to the roadmap.
* Maintain governance requirements for the product. React to audits recommendations and ensure the product is sold and marketed compliantly.
* Identify new areas of growth for Travel, related insurance products, and add-ons. Look for areas to differentiate the product and give it a USP.
* Be creative with ideas and find ways to test and drive forward change.
* Be responsible for the relevant management information and the communication to peers and senior management alike.
* Deliver on planned work from the Product Roadmap towards achieving the Product Strategy.
* Monitor MI on how the product is performing from a customer’s perspective and identify areas for improvement, including analysing customer complaints and reviewing claim declines.
* Understand how proposed changes would impact customer outcomes, as well as the commercial and operational impact on the business.
* Research, assimilate and present information to support recommendations in a suitable format (slides, formal papers, etc).
* Work closely with all operational areas including Travel Claims to help maximize value for the Travel business.
* Be a champion of best practices for Risk in the team.
Skills and Attitudes Required
* Must be an effective communicator, able to build good relationships with the team and stakeholders (including third-party relationships).
* Able to assess the potential impact of emerging issues and opportunities and how to apply them in a business context.
* Be confident in numerical analysis and reporting.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
* Good written, verbal, and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated and prepared to take a hands-on approach.
* Organized and able to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
