Location: This role is based in our Telford office with time spent working in the office and at home.

The role
You will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience of balance sheet risks and issues as you will be responsible for ensuring that all appropriate processes and controls within the team are completed in line with agreed SLA’s and processes.
You will have experience of working in a commercial environment as you will lead the response to external third parties who have outsourced their business to us and you will be maintaining the integrity of their balance sheet in addition to internal Phoenix entities.
You will be required to continuously develop the processes within the team looking for continuous improvement opportunities and hence will display strong systems knowledge to be able to identify where processes have failed or not performed as expected within the underlying policy administration system and therefore excellent SQL knowledge is necessary,
What are we looking for?
1. CIMA Or ACCA qualified, with post qualified experience
2. Strong SQL skills and experience of interrogating systems data
3. Experience of managing balance sheet risks and issues and authorisation of balance sheet reconciliations
4. Able to demonstrate management of control environment and remediation of associated issues.
5. Good communicator liaising with all levels and cross functions to find solutions fit for all
6. Experience of working with policyholder balances in a Financial Services environment would be an advantage.
