Reporting to our Deputy Chief Nurse, our future Head of Safeguarding will bring expert knowledge in the field of safeguarding, public protection and vulnerable persons. They will lead our safeguarding teams, adults, children, vulnerable women and the learning disabilities, dementia services and newly appointed Enhanced care Team supporting patients with mental health needs across the Trust. As the head of service for these portfolios you support senior teams to deliver the best care aligned with the best practice strategies. The post holder will be required to draw on / ensure access to high levels of specialist knowledge about safeguarding, public protection, and vulnerable persons national policies and processes to support all professionals in meeting statutory compliance across the Trust.You will lead the Trust's safeguarding teams, adults, children and vulnerable women and the learning disabilities and dementia services ensuring patients and carers are supported, assessed and appropriately care planned.
