An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a highly regarded Birmingham based Main Contractor on a permanent basis to oversee all the entire project within their high-rise and apartment accommodation units.
Zeal Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile student accommodation project. As the Project Manager, you will take ownership of the project from inception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will have exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
•Take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of the student accommodation project.
•Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
•Lead and inspire project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, and design consultants.
Planning and Coordination
•Develop and manage detailed project programs, schedules, and milestones.
•Coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities to avoid delays or conflicts.
•Ensure efficient resource allocation, including labour, materials, and equipment.
Financial Management
•Manage project budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
•Approve and track variations, valuations, and payments.
•Provide regular financial updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Quality and Compliance
•Ensure all works comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
•Oversee quality assurance processes and manage snagging and handover stages.
•Address and resolve any issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle.
Health and Safety
•Promote and enforce a culture of health and safety on-site.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
•Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for the client, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Provide clear and timely communication throughout the project.
Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and project updates.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
•Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale construction projects, ideally in student accommodation.
•Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract management, and project controls.
•Exceptional organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams.
•Proficiency in project management software
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
•Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
