THE ROLE
1. Perform high-quality TIG/MIG welding and fabrication work both in the workshop and on various customer sites
2. Complete small fabrication, maintenance, and installation projects to exacting standards
3. Work from customer and engineering drawings, maintaining high precision and accuracy
4. Operate general fabrication workshop equipment with skill
5. Take the lead on-site, supervising and working with a small team when necessary
6. Ensure self-checking and accountability for all work completed
THE PERSON
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metalwork, fabrication, and TIG/MIG welding
2. Prior site experience (experience in the food and drinks industry is advantageous)
3. Clean driving licence (Forklift licence is desirable)
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
5. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and pride in high-quality workmanship
6. Able to work independently or within a team, and take initiative on-site projects
THE PACKAGE
1. £16 per hour
2. 40-hour work week: Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
3. Overtime available at an enhanced rate
4. 20 days holiday plus statutory days
5. Company pension scheme
