The Role
As a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of everyone on site. You will build relationships with everyone, so your days will be varied and involve new and familiar faces every day.
You will help create a safe work environment, look after colleagues, and continuously improve the workplace as they work towards becoming a leading operation.
You'll be the go-to person for health, safety, and environmental compliance at the factory, delivering training on safe behaviours and best practices, and addressing any areas of concern. Additionally, you'll develop and maintain the current safety, health, and environmental management system, handling daily practices and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your contributions will be key to the commitment to a safe and healthy working environment.
What do you need?
* You will have your NEBOSH diploma in health and safety (or equivalent). If you don't, as long as you have IOSH or higher, with a commitment to regular CPD, that is acceptable.
* You will have a proven track record and hands-on experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within food manufacturing, FMCG, or similar industries.
* Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene procedures would be an additional bonus.
* Ultimately, you will need to be organised and motivated to drive the department forward, possess excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels.
