About the Role:
We are looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a strong design background to assist in leading and mentoring teams across the North East of England and two offices in Scotland. This role will place you at the forefront of geotechnical design, where you will play a pivotal part in project oversight and team development. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to drive high standards, support junior engineers’ professional growth, and contribute technical expertise to complex geotechnical projects across a variety of sectors.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Extensive geotechnical design experience, preferably within a consulting environment.
* Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience guiding junior engineers.
* A proven track record of managing geotechnical aspects of large infrastructure and environmental projects.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
* Proficiency in industry-standard geotechnical design software and tools.
