Job Title: Financial Accounting Manager - 18 month FTC Location: North West England, South Manchester (commutable from Wilmslow, Cheadle, Alderley Edge, Stockport, Runcorn etc). Job Type: Contract, 18 month FTC (not day rate), Full-Time hours, Hybrid 3 days in the office/2 WFH Job Duties: Manage and oversee financial accounting activities for the UK and Ireland Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Prepare financial statements and reports Tax returns - VAT, Corporation Tax etc. Balance sheet reconciliation Monitor and analyse financial data Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors Provide financial analysis and support to senior management Manage and mentor a small team Required Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Proven experience in financial accounting Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Knowledge and Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP such as SAP or Oracle Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a managerial or supervisory role Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards
