Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient-Centric Care: Engage directly with patients and their carers, offering vital support and information while ensuring a high standard of care.
* Collaborative Excellence: Work alongside clinical oncologists, physicists, radiographers, and clerical staff, contributing your expertise to drive innovation and efficiency.
* Operational Leadership: In the Band 7's absence, manage the treatment unit independently, consulting with the Clinical Operations Manager as needed to maintain a safe, effective operation.
* Professional Accountability: Uphold the highest standards of practice as outlined by the Society of Radiographers Professional Code of Conduct.

Person Specification
Education
* Degree or DCR(T) in radiotherapy
* Has HCPC registration (or has applied for registration)
Experience
* Evidence of post graduate experience
* IGRT and IMRT experience
* Pre-treatment experience of CT/ simulator
* Experience of Staff management
* Experience in participation in audit
Knowledge
* Knowledge of principles and practice of radiotherapy and oncology, in particular pre-treatment protocols
