You will need to have passion for this sector and eager to learn to use manual lathes., milling and drilling machines.
You will also need to have
some exposure to this type of work whether that be in work or in education.
experience in a manufacturing environment
a keen interest in learning a wide range of machining methods
great attention to detail
experience in reading and understanding technical drawings Your role will involve:
machining parts from drawings
using gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
recognising and using fixtures and tooling
learning how to and then performing tool wear offsets
regularly cleaning and light maintenance on machinery
complying with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions You will receive:
