As the Engineering Technician your responsibilities will include : The engineering technician will be part of the design team which covers the investigation and detail design of clean and waste water network, civil engineering and other projects principally, but not wholly, related to the water industry. The engineering technician will provide support to the designer, through completion of tasks that complement the final design for the construction stage and success of the completion stage. The engineering technician role will be to understand network maps and plans, in order to understand assets in relation to public and private ownership. Demonstrate an understanding of other utilities and environmental factors that affect the selection and installation of water network assets. Technicians may hold responsibility for tasks and / or small projects with flexibility to move between workstreams. Engineering technicians may hold specific responsibilities or expertise in investigation processes, computer aided design (CAD), specific methods of construction, safe systems of work and other technical areas, making this role a key contributor to the design process Produce accurate statutory notices for private land and easements in conjunction with the, For this role, we are seeking individuals who are committed to supporting our long-term goals and who embrace change and promote diversity. Experience of using MS Office Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and also conversant with AutoCAD 2D / GIS software.
* Have a basis of water hydraulic network systems understanding, either through previous experience or education.
* Able to demonstrate an initiative to work on their own and as part of a team.
