We are looking for a senior site engineer to join an industry-leading client of ours based in Leicester on a permanent basis.
Industrial experience is essential as this project involves working on warehouses for clients like B&Q and Screwfix.
My client is offering an excellent package of £80-85k per annum, along with a bonus every year, a company car, private healthcare, a company laptop and phone, and all expenses.
Responsibilities:
1. Design review of civils works - looking at VE wherever possible.
2. Take offs/ordering/forecasting of all materials, including concrete service yards and office floor slabs; Warehouse floor slab contracts are always LPM, so we only need to worry about line/level/QA on these.
3. Liaise with QS and project teams on tracking material costs.
4. Liaise between the project teams and subcontractors around all aspects of the project, providing technical support and offering ideas and experience.
5. Generate detailed Groundworks Maps where required by the project teams, usually only short term (i.e., 4-6 weeks).
6. Ensure site engineers have up-to-date information and generate setting out models when required.
7. Perform bits of setting out as required.
8. Take ownership of Earthworks file and QA; ensure that EW contractors work to their agreed ITP and that we have surveys/testing records/testing grid uploaded to Procore, checking the test results before they are issued for validation.
9. Liaise with project teams to create and manage the site Service Avoidance Plan; work with site engineers to update the as-builts on a weekly basis.
10. Be prepared to assist with general site management duties (i.e., inductions/basic RAMS sign-offs) occasionally. Cover sites as nr.1 (minimum SSSTS) for a few days (holidays/sickness, etc.).
11. Ordering, managing, and setting out.
If you are interested in this role, please apply with your up-to-date CV or give me a call, and I can set up an interview with my client.
