About the Role
Teachers at ALS make the safeguarding and holistic education of their students their first concern. They are highly professional in their conduct and accountable for the overall effectiveness of the class they lead. A successful candidate will be a child-centred professional, with honesty and integrity at the centre of everything that they do. Actively promoting our school’s ambitious vision, school development priorities and working in line with the policies, they will plan, deliver, evaluate and report on the impact of their teaching.
The Class Teacher will teach all subjects across the adapted and personalised curriculum and will develop their teaching expertise within their own Key Stage and across the school, contributing to a range of projects aimed at making Abbot’s Lea School the best place to learn and work. The role includes line management responsibility and applicants should have either previous experience of performance management or the willingness to embrace this responsibility with support and training.
