We are looking for dedicated HCSW's for various full and part-time positions across multiple inpatient wards in Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostics, and Specialties at both Cheltenham General and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. You will become a valued colleague at GHT with your development needs being supported by a robust induction.

Main duties of the job
While it is desirable that candidates have an appropriate recent care experience and have completed the Care Certificate, previous care experience is not essential, and training can absolutely be provided for the right candidates, so if you have the qualities we're looking for and share our values, please do still get in touch!
You will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of the highest standard of quality care to our patients, working alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your role will include a wide range of tasks, from providing personal care to undertaking clinical observations. You will be required to follow rigorous policies such as infection control and manual handling policies. In addition, you will be providing emotional and practical support to patient and their families.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths, or equivalent, GCSEs or equivalent.
* Qualifications at level 2 or 3 in Health and/or social care that is nationally recognised. This could be an NVQ, BTEC, apprenticeship or equivalent international qualification in healthcare. OR Able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.
* Completion of a care certificate.
Knowledge and Experience
* Be able to work as a team member.
* Experience of time management and prioritising work.
* Understands and committed to a caring approach to patients and relatives.
* Experience of providing care in a healthcare or social setting.
Skills and Abilities
