Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – White Lion Vets, South Hetton. Full or part time, flexible hours, clinical interests fully supported, no OOH. Salary up to £65, FTE.
Under positive new leadership and with brand new purpose built premises currently under construction (completion expected in early ), this is an extremely exciting time for our practice and an opportunity for a new vet to play a genuine role in shaping the practice going forward!
We are a single site practice in a semi-rural area close to the beautiful cathedral city of Durham and easily accessible from the hubs of Newcastle, Sunderland, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough. We are close to the bright lights but drive a short distance east and you will find the beaches and cliffs of Durham's coastline. Drive west and you will find yourself in the beautiful Durham dales – so whatever your preference you are well placed.
As our practice grows we are looking for an additional small animal vet to join our experienced, close knit, friendly team. Having a great work life balance is important, so we are happy to be totally flexible with working hours – tell us what hours you would like to work and we will endeavour to try and make it possible!
Staff wellbeing is a priority for us – lunch breaks and admin time are protected, and the last routinely bookable consult is an hour before we close. Regular clinical catch ups and full practice meetings give all staff members the opportunity to have their say on practice changes, make suggestions and raise concerns. We are committed to continued clinical progression and want to make sure that you are receiving the most fulfilled career with us.
This role could suit either experienced or inexperienced applicants. The benefit of being part of a larger group means that we have a wealth of support available (because none of us know all the answers, all the time!), and we will genuinely support progression in any direction you choose.
