At Ambitious about Autism, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Occupational Therapist at The Rise School.
You'll be part of an organisation that is committed to improving the outcomes for autistic children and young people, whilst the role itself will involve devising and implementing individual and group intervention programmes. You'll support learners throughout the preparing for adulthood process by resolving occupational performance barriers in line with the Ambitious Approach.
As part of our growth plans, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join this ambitious transdisciplinary team made up of OT's, Speech & Language Therapist and PBS specialists. You will have the opportunity to help support in service development, to embed occupational therapy for our autistic learners using our tiered model of therapy provision.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be a Professionally Qualified Occupational Therapist to a degree or diploma level
2. Be proactive in strengthening the effectiveness of the occupational therapy team by bringing knowledge and insight into service design
3. Contribute to effective team development and monitoring, evaluating and improving service delivery to participate in supervision and continuing professional development
4. Commitment to occupationally focused, person-centred and evidence-based practice.
5. Contribute to and evaluate the training and development of teachers, parents and other professionals
