Role Summary:
The Plumbing & Heating Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing a broad range of plumbing and heating tasks, ensuring systems are installed, maintained, and serviced to the highest standards. This role demands a proactive professional who can lead projects, provide technical expertise, and uphold safety and compliance guidelines, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every job undertaken.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and service boilers, heating systems, and plumbing networks.
- Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing and heating systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Oversee junior engineers and provide mentorship and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice.
- Plan and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer in a senior capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of heating and boiler systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable:
- Gas Safe registration.
- Experience with renewable heating technologies (e.g., heat pumps, solar thermal systems).
- Familiarity with smart home heating systems.
- Project management certification.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
