This is an exciting development opportunity to join the Crisis Resolution and Intensive Support Service (CRISS) in Leeds as a psychological professional. The CRISS Service in Leeds and York NHS Partnership Foundation Trust provides urgent assessment and intensive home treatment provision to service users in Leeds experiencing a mental health crisis. CRISS offers a 24-hour service; however, the psychology provision is within regular working hours Mon-Fri with the potential of working condensed hours. The CRISS service has recently undergone a re-structure of the service delivery model, following a recent Core Fidelity assessment.
This role will be based at either St Mary's Hospital or Aire Court. We are currently expanding the psychological workforce in this service and looking for a highly motivated individual committed to high-quality, service user-focused care. This post would link to either the West or South locality, and you would work alongside two other psychology colleagues (one of whom leads the CRISS Psychology Team) and will also be supported by a Consultant Psychological Professional colleague working strategically across the acute pathway. We will also be recruiting Assistant Psychologists to support the psychological work in the teams.
We encourage development opportunities for staff and aim to support staff in developing skills in EMDR and DBT. The team comprises many different disciplines, including nurses, OTs, harm reduction workers, health support workers, and medical staff. There is strong leadership and practice development support within the team. There are many opportunities to get involved and lead service improvement projects.
The psychological professions workforce is supported by a Deputy Director of Psychological Professions and Professional Leads. We are committed to robust professional leadership, equality, diversity and inclusion, and supporting staff wellbeing and CPD. Our previous Psychological Professions Strategy was achieved, and we are in the process of writing a new strategy.
