The Manor is a residential care home for 22 people with physical disabilities. We are located in the beautiful and rural town of Brampton in Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon train station is about a 20 minute walk and we are on the main bus route from Huntingdon. Free car parking is on-site for staff.
As a Team Leader with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. You will provide effective supervision of a team of Support Workers, lead with passion and enthusiasm promoting positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.
You will ensure our customers receive the very best care, personal support and assistance with daily life tasks. Supporting our Person Centred approach, you will ensure maximum independence for our customers and help them to achieve individual aspirations.
To be successful in this role you will:
* Ideally have a level of professional development and registration (NVQ/SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, L4 NVQ/SVQ) or willing to work towards a relevant qualification.
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
* Have experience in supervising a team.
* Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
* Be experienced in working within a care setting.
* Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.
