About the role The key role of the Energy Efficiency Officer will be to assist Crawley Homes with the delivery of current energy efficiency projects to ensure the Council meets its NetZero decarbonisation agenda and climate change declaration commitments. Your knowledge and skills of developing a decarbonisation strategy, and delivery action will be a key requirement, including a good understanding of various technologies including solar PV, battery store systems, external wall, cavity and loft insulation. A further requirement will be to ensure that all energy efficiency programmes for Crawley Homes are planned, installed, and maintained in the most effective way to meet the housing tenants' customer expectations. You should also have a good technical background within the energy efficiency environment and have some good project management experience, including planning various work programmes and projects. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work as part of a very busy dynamic multi-skilled team, having the technical and professional skills to deliver the work as set out in the job description. It would be an advantage if you have worked within a social housing maintenance/project management environment with a strong background in working on Energy Efficiency projects Additional information Working hours are 37 hour per week with a flexible working location (minimum two days in the office). A full current UK driving licence will be a requirement of the role. Casual user car allowance (currently under review). May be required to work at a contractor's premises. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required as part of this role.
