The Cyber Security Architect is a strategic role within the Operational Resilience Function, focusing on implementation of best practices across the information technology security landscape. The role supports the delivery of an effective cyber security programme through the creation and maintenance of security strategy roadmaps. The architect will use a risk-based approach whilst taking into account the ever-changing threat landscape, rapid uptake of cloud services, emerging technologies, regulatory expectations, and acquisitions that RLG may enter into. The role provides expert support across the enterprise information security framework:
1. Transformation of existing on-premises and cloud-based Cyber Security and Operational Resilience capabilities
2. Introduction of new capabilities based on emerging threats and technology changes
3. Influence the evolution of cyber security controls and associated technologies and operating models
The responsibilities include technical design and implementation of security controls across multiple security domains whilst working with wider enterprise architecture, technical SMEs, and platform owners.
About you
1. Strong technical background in multiple security domains (Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Networking, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, as well as Security Operations)
2. Ability to think strategically but have the technical expertise to deliver detailed roadmaps and oversee implementations and security benefit realization
3. An understanding of the commercial and operating model implications of proposed Cyber Security and Operational Resilience architecture strategies and roadmaps
4. Excellent senior stakeholder and 3rd party management skills
5. Capability to develop content optimized for target audience including executive and senior level committees as well as technical authorities and forums
6. Strong influencing and communication skills and abilities, with business and technical teams
7. Excellent leadership skills and a 'can do' attitude - always positive and professional
8. Strong management and organizational skills
9. Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills
10. Able to maintain composure and professionalism in pressurized, stressful, and uncertain situations
11. Ability to listen, communicate, constructively challenge, and influence team members, immediate peer group, Operational Resilience function senior team, and business management/executive
12. Proactive, actively seeks to generate ideas for new ways of doing things better
13. Understands and accepts the relevance of others' views and is prepared to change and open to collaboration
