Our client is a dynamic, forward-thinking manufacturing company located in a market town in Wiltshire. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality products, they are now seeking a Shift Quality Line Inspector to join their team and help maintain their high standards while supporting the continued success of their operations.
Scope of the Role:
Join a dynamic team as a Shift Quality Line Inspector and play a key role in ensuring top quality injection moulded parts. You'll use cutting-edge tools like CMM and shadowgraphs. Key Responsibilities:
1. Read technical drawings and complete necessary measurement documentation.
2. Train operators on process control and documentation.
3. Validate first-off parts and conduct regular quality patrols on production machines.
4. Maintain and control gold samples, job packs, and inspection jigs/fixtures.
5. Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for inspections and reporting.
6. Manage quarantine areas, ensuring proper inspection, approval, or disposal of products.
7. Lead 100% inspection processes for specific products/customers.
8. Provide clear shift handovers and collaborate with the team on continuous improvements.
9. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
10. Clock in/out accurately to ensure correct payroll and fire safety compliance.
11. Contribute ideas for efficiency and cost-saving improvements—innovative suggestions are welcomed and rewarded!
Ideal Candidate:
1. Injection Moulding Knowledge (preferred but not essential)
2. Ability to measure and evaluate parts using hand measuring devices, shadowgraphs/projectors, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) (training provided) to maintain quality standards.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
4. Strong Attention to Detail & Quality Assurance
5. Ability to Interpret Technical Drawings & Specifications
6. Excellent Communication & Reporting Skills
7. Enthusiasm & Motivation to Succeed
8. Willingness to Learn & Undertake Internal & External Training
9. Willing and available to travel overseas for work occasionally.
